Wildfire has tested negative for the MyBPC-3 mutation and will be tested for HCM and PKD via echocardiogram in October 2010.



Thank you to Shannon Fisher of Shimrick cattery, who entrusted us with two of her precious babies. Nova and Dawn are the cutest little devils who again fit right into our redhead household. Nothing is safe! :) And even at 3 years old they are still cute and little devils.

Both Nova and Dawn's parents (Shimrick's Wild Thing and CFA GC Shimrick's Wild Irish) are negative for the one HCM gen mutation (MyBPC-3) we can currently test for, which means both of them are also negative. Nova and Dawn have echoed clear for HCM in July of 2007, 2008 and October of 2009. Both also tested negative for PKD in October 2009.
